　　From the current market trend, it can be seen that the price trend of waste stainless steel in the market has basically followed the historical seasonal pattern since 2024. From Figure 2, it can be seen that although the fluctuation amplitude is significantly lower than the historical seasonality, the trend of change is still relatively consistent and there is no significant anti seasonal change. Furthermore, based on the performance of price data from May to present, there is a possibility that the magnitude of changes in that month may exceed the previous four months. This is mainly due to the gradual strengthening and adjustment of the April market, which resulted in the May price base being relatively high, leading to a relatively high seasonal index calculation value.

　　From the price operation of waste stainless steel, it can be seen that the absolute value of the monthly average price of waste stainless steel has not changed much since 2024. This can be clearly seen from Figure 3, where the monthly average price amplitude from January to April is only 0.57%. In May, with a relatively high base, the overall amplitude increased by 2.19 percentage points to 2.76%, but still narrowed by more than 30% compared to the same period last year. From this, it can be seen that the overall price level adjustment space in 2024 is indeed limited.
